This learning is an image rather than a story. I love rainbows, my favourite rainbows appear when the rain still feels present and there is the tiniest sliver of sun to create the rainbow.
Hope amidst the storm, light when things are still turbulent.
Last summer I saw a lot of rainbows, both literal and metaphorical as I worked on a project in a town known for its thunderstorms; thunderstorms which infused our work too.
At one point I was looking at a rainbow and thinking about the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, when I realised the pot of gold was right there in that moment, the moment in which both the storm and light were present, the moment before hope becomes a reality.
The storms didn’t stop, and knowing that any moment there might be a rainbow, helped to be with the experience and to remember that whatever the result, this could be the making of a rainbow…
This is nr 5 in a series of 13 about my insights from 2013 which i took into 2014 ... These have been published on my earlier website and I am reposting them here because they still feel relevant.
